Partial Withdrawals

As long as your policy is active, you can request partial withdrawals. These must be at least $500 and in multiples of $100. Furthermore, a minimum account balance of $1,000 must be maintained after withdrawals. If the remaining balance dips below this threshold after withdrawals, they’re not permitted. The company reserves the right to alter partial withdrawal conditions with a 30-day written notice. Please note that partial withdrawals during the premium payment term may be subject to charges. Any partial withdrawal is deducted first from the top-up amount (if any), followed by the remaining account balance (excluding top-ups).

Key – Life Contingency Benefit

The Etiqa Invest Builder plan includes a life contingency benefit, which can be utilized once per policy, only after 24 months from the start of the policy. This benefit encompasses a waiver for partial withdrawal charges up to 15% of the account value, or a waiver of premium shortfall charges for up to a year if you halt premium payments. To claim this benefit, notify the company in writing within 90 days of the event and provide any necessary documentation or proof. The company reserves the right to deny claims if the terms and conditions aren’t met. A life contingency event includes hospitalization for a minimum of 6 consecutive days, at least 30 consecutive days of unemployment due to retrenchment before age 65, total and permanent disability before age 66, or a diagnosis of a severe critical illness.

All the information is publicly accessible and can be found on Etiqa’s website.

The Etiqa Invest Builder could be an appropriate choice..

.. if you’re in search of a robust, long-term investment avenue that comes with the potential for significant financial gains. This policy is particularly attractive to those preferring a plan centered more on investment aspects than insurance coverage. If you’re comfortable weathering investment risks and fluctuations in the financial market, this could be a fitting choice. The plan also presents the possibility of superior returns relative to traditional endowment and whole life policies. An additional advantage is the ability to sign up for this insurance plan without needing medical underwriting, and the exclusive access to accredited investor funds through a retail platform. However, it’s crucial to remember that, as is the case with all investments, previous performances don’t secure future results, and individual investment outcomes might vary. Comprehensive research and discussions with financial professionals are highly recommended before deciding on any investment.

On the other hand..

.. the Etiqa Invest Builder might not suit individuals seeking comprehensive protection coverage, such as in the event of death or terminal illness. If you’re looking for insurance coverage for early or severe critical illness or total permanent disability, this policy may not meet your needs. Moreover, those desiring guaranteed long-term financial returns, a guaranteed principal upon policy conclusion or maturity, or a policy with high early surrender value, might find this option less attractive. It’s also not ideal for those expecting an urgent need for withdrawals during a financial market downturn. Keep in mind that the Etiqa Invest Builder is heavily geared towards investment, with limited to no insurance coverage included. The policy’s value is contingent on the performance of the underlying investment. Given the potential volatility and unpredictability of the financial market, it’s crucial to reflect on your risk tolerance and financial aspirations before making a decision about this or any other financial product.
